I'm a bit geeky when it comes to literary analysis. I had these stuffy, old professors, who spent most of their time in libraries and tombs. I loved listening to them talk about poetry from the 1600s, medieval texts, essays from the 1700s. I was allergic to their archival smells, but I tried not to sneeze around them because then I might miss something they said. It was incredible. Every so often, some of their teachings will strike me when I'm watching a film or reading a novel, and then bammo! I have to write it here.
